Richard P. Amon, DC

Dr. Amon was raised in Fort Worth, Texas. His mother was raised on the Holley Farm in Slaterville, Utah. His wife of 32 years Virginia grew up in Roy. She passed away after suffering from a chronic illness. Dr. Amon was blessed to find a special companion, Jan Amon. They were married in 2010 and she joined the practice in 2011. She has been an energizing lift to Dr. Amon’s life and to the office. Dr. Amon plays basketball at 5:30 am 4-5 times a week. He and Jan enjoy going to the gym to lift weights, go on long bicycle rides, play volleyball weekly, but really enjoy traveling around the state playing golf. Utah is such a beautiful state and they love to get out and enjoy the scenery. They also enjoy spending time with their 11 grandchildren.

Dr. Amon attended College in Fort Worth Texas. He served an LDS mission to Venezuela, SA. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State in 1979. He attended Texas Chiropractic College near Houston, Texas from 1980-1984. His father also graduated from Texas Chiropractic College. He practiced with his father for four years in Fort Worth. In 1988 he moved to Roy, Utah and established Amon Chiropractic Center. He has enjoyed serving so many wonderful patients since then.

Dr. Amon is active in his community, has held leadership positions in his political party, leadership positions in his Church, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah Chiropractic Physicians Association. He has served actively in the state Chiropractic Association since arriving in the state.
